Watched Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara on the first day- morning show.I didn't want to expect much from this movie because, it belongs to the road-trip genre and it's for the first time that someone (Zoya Akthar) was making a movie of that genre in India. But, since Hrithik Roshan is a part of it,I couldn't resist watching it on the first day.His last two movies,Guzaarish and Kites turned out to be disasters at the box-office.But who gives a damn when you know that it's prone to happen when a new kind of genre enters the industry.Guzaarish was about the plea for euthanasia by a paraplegic person and Kites was an off-beat love story with full of English/Spanish dialogues. So it appealed only the multiplex audiences. In fact when I was watching Kites in a multiplex the audiences seemed to be enjoying it and I thought it would be a super-hit.But, it turned out to be otherwise. So this time I watched Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in an ordinary theater and yet the whole theater was laughing and whistling during the movie. But we cannot predict the movie's success until next week.As far as I'm concerned, well, the movie could have been better, but it's a very well made movie. The locations are beautiful. The characters are hilarious, projected as 'The Mantal Bwoys'.Songs are pretty good and hummable.Overall,it's a refreshing and a feel good movie void of cheesy jokes like in Golmaal. But to know if the audiences will receive it well, we have to wait and watch.
My rating is 3.5/5
